The legends of Jamaa

 

Once upon a time, the blue heron sky mother, Mira, set out to create a land that would be safe for all animals. The sky father, Zios, fell in love with her, and helped her create the land: Jamaa. But Zios was killed, and Mira cried forever. From her tears came the Phantoms: the evil monsters that tortured the animals of Jamaa.

 

And then came the Alphas.

 

The Alphas were five special animals that were more evolved. They fought the the Phantoms and drove them away from the land of Jamaa. Mira then appointed one of the young survivers, Peck the rabbit, to be the sixth Alpha.

 

But the Phantoms could survive underwater, and that is where they went. They tortured the ocean animals, until Tavie, the dolphin born without a tail fin, fought back. She continued on her journey to find a tail fin, which brought her near the shores of Jamaa, where ran into Grahm, the monkey alpha and the best builder made her a replacement tail fin. When found about how she saved all the ocean animals from the Phantoms, he introduced her to the other alphas, and she became the only ocean alpha.

 

Greely, the wolf alpha, had traveled away from Jamaa and returned with bad news: the phantoms were back.
